This is a photo of
F.W.R Dickson Wilderness Area, Grand River Conservation Authority.
On many a Sunday afternoon, my parents took our whole family here.
When I was a little girl, this place—woodlands filled with birdsong,
open fields teeming with bees and butterflies,
and still marshes stirred by the croak of a frog or the darting of a dragonfly,
seemed to me, to be a magical wonderland.
And in some ways, it still does.
Winter, spring, summer or fall.,
walk in this wilderness, and let the stories fly; a book is waiting to be written.
